"Designed for the big screen," the PlayStation 3 YouTube App will pack the following features, according to the PlayStation Blog.
Search: Finding the videos you want is easier than ever, with search suggestions and instant video results while you type.
Your subscribed channels: Sign in to find the latest videos from your YouTube subscriptions, which now also includes official music videos.
Your phone as a remote: With a quick pairing process, you can control YouTube on PS3 with a smartphone. Find a video on your phone and with a button it’ll play on the big screen. While the video is playing you can control it from the phone, or keep browsing YouTube for the next one

Just tried it. It's definitely an improvement over the last youtube browser.

Just make a US account :p
That's what I did.

Yes but I live in Europe and after I download it with my US account it wont work only if you are a US resident .
But someone find a way and I did a little guide here about this

Very nice, I was able to watch Sony's Gamescom Conference and Carmark's id conference in HD. What I really, REALLY don't understand is why Sony hasn't released a Crackle app. They own the company, I can watch movies on my iPad, but I would really like a better experience than what I get via the PS3 browser. This was an issue with YouTube, but at least you could say, "Well Sony doesn't have control of that...", but they created Crackle! Now make a custom viewing app for it!

Really a great add-on. I hope they fix those little bugs ..
