Available at launch, buyers will have the option to choose from two different packages, one being a Special Edition, and the other being a Collector's Edition for God of War: Ascension. Of course, if you're not interested in either of these, you can just purchase the normal, standard version.
The Collector's Edition, will include an amazingly crafted 8" Kratos figurine, along with a nice premium steel book game case. It will also have the games official soundtrack, which will be digital, a PlayStation 3 dynamic theme AND avatar pack, as well as a double EXP bonus for multiplayer (more details soon). And last but not least, all of the titles DLC will be included with no extra cost (details soon, as well).
God of War: Ascension's multiplayer debut will be a big step in the franchise, but it will be a big chunk of the game, the developers are working very hard on it for an all-out, awesome experience. Just a heads up, if you want to rise to the top, the multiplayer double EXP and DLC passes will be a big help at the very beginning!
The Special Edition will include the premium steel book game case, the official game soundtrack, which will be digital, the PlayStation 3 dynamic theme AND avatar pack, and the multiplayer double EXP bonus.
Just to clear this up, the images will be revealed in the "very near future", as well as details on the multiplayer double EXP and DLC content.

Yes, it is. If I still had a PS3, i'd buy this game for sure the first day. God of War is my absolute favorite game. CoD is no where close to GoW for me.
