(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hey my old 3.55 phat ps3 has had the yellow light of death about 20 times. it kept yloding then working and eventually it just completely stopped working. i sent it into repair to my local console repair shop and it worked but yloding again.... this process happened 3 times and the guy offerd my money back which was good of him....
after i got it back i ordered all the right equipment for fixing playstation 3's. i opened the console and got to the bottom part of the console where all the chip sets etc are and released that some of the chip/head pieaces have been bend completly and unfixable :wah: also the guy that done the repairs he stole some of the special screws from my playstation ! twat.
anyway im wondering if i buy a new motherboard what things do i need to consider?
does the firmware change??
does it have to be a specific GB mother board?
does it have to be the same date code etc etc?
ive phoned sony and explained to them all about it but they just give me a blank wall as soon as i mention im gonna try and fix my ps3. the only thing they do is if i pay them £210 for a new ps3 and give them my broken one.. i can get a brand new console for £210! without giving them my broken console.
thanks for reading and if u have any idea where the cheapest ps3 motherboard is let me know. thanks :fa:

sorry im not 100% sure but it would make sense that the firmware is stored on the nor/nand chip as this is what all flashing tool connect to but as i said look into it a bit more as im not 100% jus tryna give u a point in the right direction
