Post: fat ps3 keeps turning off

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); hello i have an old ps3 80 gbs, only has the red light, as soon i turn in on it turns off and the light goes off too, i have to disconnect it for about 1 min and the light turns on again, but keeps doing the same thing turning off, any help thanks1

You Need New Thermal Paste On The Ps3

Over heating. I've had 4 of them now, each lasts about a year. Thank god for insurance. Get a slim one, i've had no issues so far.

YLOD / overheating

Which means you need to open it up add some more thermal paste or find the fault and repair it.

Do a barrel roll!
If your still in warranty. I would personally phone Sony, get them to collect it, and have them repair it for FREE. It saves the hassle of you doing it yourself. Heck. You might even get it replaced with a spanking BRAND NEW PS3.

my slim did this i took it apart put mx2 paste on it and back together it went. Still going strong 7months+

250gb slim no warranty
