(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi everyone ive got a hdd out of my old fat ps3 is there anyway of getting it to work on a slim ps3 because whenever i try it always comes up with an error saying something along the lines of incorrect storage device cannot start

Any help will be much appreciated!!

make sure it is connected properly and did the hdd your trying to use work in the ps3 you took it out of? hdd's are compatible between slim ps3, phat ps3 and quite a lot of other electronics like laptops... as long as its a "2.5" size it will be compatible with your ps3

I know it worked last time i cheked it but just recently when i wanted to check what update it was on to make it easier to jailbreak rather than downgrading It doesnt work

You cannot change the firmware by replacing the HDD with one previous to the current installed firmware on the PS3. The only way it can work is if you format it on the PS3 by going into recovery mode (You must login or register to view this content.)

My ps3 doesnt go into recovery mode with that hardrive in it
