Hey mate yes your YLOD can be fixed but it will require taking apart and soldering so what you will need to do is have a look some really good videos with a load of likes and views the more likes and views it has the more luck your have with fixing your PS3.

the ylod can be fixed and also the 3.55 firmware is located on the motherboard inside the ps3 on a chip called the "nor flash" and it is not located on the hard drive so dont bother doing anything with your hard drive, it has nothing to do with any of it, how did your 3.55 get ylod? what were you doing

I know a temp fix, just put your PS3 upside down in a NIKE Shoe box, blow with a strong hairdryer in the back of the PS3 (but not too close so you don't melt shit) and then leave it in the fridge for about 45 minutes, that's how I fix my YLOD Ps3 .

Oh and never ever hold it standing up again, because then your motherboard's going to get fucked again.

I stuck mine in a blanket and did the hair dryer trick. ps3 worked for 72 hours, but that was long enough for me to back mine up

YLOD has nothing to do with that FW......
YLOD is a hardware failure can it be fixed yes but for how long that depends.
