During the maintenance, you will be unable to access the following services:
PlayStation Store on PS3 and PSP.
PlayStation Network Account Management.
PlayStation Network Account Registration.
In addition, you will not be able to sign in to PlayStation Network from eu.playstation.com.
During this maintenance, you can continue to collect in-game trophies and these will be updated on your profile once PlayStation Network is back up and running.

Thanks for the information. Lols will be had if this extends to the 13th 
I wonder if this is just for fixing some bugs with the new PS Store. I also wonder if this is going to bring in some new changes (like PSN name changing ^_^)

that and cross game voice chat is never going to happen.

I don't care much about cross game chat. Anyone I care to chat with across games, I have their phone number. I wish Sony could change our psn names though. All though they probably can, I doubt they would. When I made my account it was because a friend wanted to start a clan for MW2, but we never really got it to take off. I had already started playing all my games on the account so I just stayed on it. It's got all these annoying hyphens and underscores. x-SaCrEd_G_E-5-x Ntm the shifting caps. If i could change it, it would just be Sacred_G_E-5. (The G and E-5 stay because they have become my nicknames)

This PSN maintenence was mainly an update to ban CFW users who connect online, this was due to the newer cfw's and leaked release of the keys for the ps3, the easiest way people were banned was through black ops 2, which is why many people could not get online
