not only did i hear that from people in the gaming industry also i heard that the specs for the new system arent gonna change much either

Sony now make too much free money from online passes to implement this. They have stated that all there games starting from mid 2012 will need a pass to play online and as multiplayer in being added to every game under the Sun. I dont see this happening.

Misreporting

One thing you need to know about patents alot are never used. Sony so far has stated that it does not want to end second hand sales.
I can point to a lot of patents which are not in products.

Lower pricing of games on release would end the sale of second hand games anywho!

I think this is crap, I buy most games second hand, cuz in my country a game new costs 1/3 of a console, which is unfair.
