Honestly, I'd have to say for the PHAT that the CECHL01 is a pretty good model even though it's only 2 USB ports without the little flip up deal in the front. But since I've had it since like 08/09, it has never had the YLOD and has worked great. I wish I would have gotten one of the first 60GB models made. As for the slim, I can't say anything since I don't have one.

So what is your guy's favorite model?

I can't say an exact model, but I prefer the slim. After getting the YLOD twice on two "PHATs", that was it for me :mad:

I have the same phat model as you but I wish I had gotten one with ps2 capabilities.

i like the phat but the only thing i don't like about it is the loud fans :/ i got the 1 phat ps3 and 2 slims, the slims don't make much noise as the phat :/ however the phat in my view looks better
