If this is in the wrong section, feel free to move it to the correct section.

So basically, I have a PS3 with 3.55. I want to be able to test patches for Modern Warfare 2 on this PS3 but the problem is I don't have a working laser that reads games. Currently it has Geohot's 3.55 CFW with Comgenie's Awesome File Manager. I own Modern Warfare 2 on disc, so I was wondering if someone could help me create a .iso from my disc, then be able to launch that on my 3.55 CFW PS3. I was thinking after I create a .iso from my disc and move it to my CFW PS3 using FTP (ex: BlackBox), I can then run it with MultiMAN. Then, I would be able to launch the game without my disc, and switch patches through the File Manager. Also, if this wouldn't work with Geohot's firmware, which would work? I don't care which firmware I use, simply because im going to be using this PS3 only for testing patches and possibly later Data Transfering it to my other PS3 with OFW.

If you don't understand anything above, just message me, and I can re-explain it.

If someone manages to help me fix this and is looking for extra money on paypal, I don't mind sending like 10 bucks or something.

You're going to have to download the game if you want to play it with a broken blu ray drive. Then you can just copy the files to an external hdd or flash drive and copy it to your PS3 via multiman.

You can check out PS3ISO or PS3gameroom. PS3gameroom tends to be better since they use fast free file sharing sites but PS3ISO has tons of more games on it. Then there's obviously torrents which i don't suggest for older PS3 games.

I found this: You must login or register to view this content.

So I download all these parts and put them together, then how do I get this onto MultiMAN?
Also, do you have a link to the download for MultiMAN?

When you download them all, all you need to do is highlight them and extract them with winrar, they'll go together automatically. You'll then get a folder with the game id such as BLUS30377 and inside there are all of the game files. On your flashdrive you'll need to make a folder called PS3 and then inside that folder another folder called GAMES. Inside the GAMES folder, just drag the Modern Warfare 2 folder into that. MultiMan should automatically find the game on your flash drive and you should be able to copy it right over. Ill send you a PM with the link to MultiMan.
