(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});You're more than likely in this thread because your PlayTV is crashing your PS3 when it tries to record a program, You've probably noticed that once your PS3 has crashed you cannot turn your PS3 controllers on either, They will just flash a few times then stop then not flash at all. Well after trying out a few things ive managed to get mine fixed, So it turns on records and switches back off even on the latest PS3 firmware v4.31 (which is causing the clash and console freezes) My other halves PlayTV works fine and i compared whats different on my PS3 and worked it out on abit of trial and error. So try my methods below and see if it works, If it has for me theres no reason for it not working for you, Its the least you can do if you want to try and fix your PlayTV. 1. Go to the XMB.
2. Go to the Settings tab.
3. Go to System Setings.
4. Scroll down to Control for HDMI.
5. Turn it off. Then go set up a recording later in the day, So your ps3 has to turn on and record it.
If that doesnt stop the crashing try the following aswell so both are off:
1. Go to the XMB.
2. Go to the Settings tab.
3. Scroll down to Power Save Settings.
4. Go to System Auto-Off.
5. Turn it off. Again go set up a recording later in the day, So your ps3 has to turn on and record it and if that doesnt stop the console crashing upon turning on to record then we will just have to wait for Sony with a new firmware update. If you do try this and it works post here.
