Ni No Kuni rocks! I bought the game and the hard cover Prima guide as well. So far I am loving this game. There is definitely differences between this game and Pokemon. This game has Pokemon beat in every way except for there is no trading or battling with other people. Trading with and battling against other people is what makes the Pokemon games so much fun. Other than that Ni No Kuni has Pokemon beat in how cool the creatures are, the awesome story, and the graphics and cutscenes that take full advantage of the PS3 (and look fantastic). The Pokemon games (the real ones not the Wii or Wii U spinoff games) still look like GameBoy Advance games.
Maybe they will make more Ni No Kuni games and they could add online trading and battling.

Ni No Kuni is only related to Pokemon in the sense of 'capturing'. In Pokemon you ... well ... capture Pokemon. With the captured Pokemon you can train and evolve them (duh). Same thing goes with Ni No Kuni. You capture familiars, train them and evolve them. The battle system is like Tales of Vesperia (if you ever played it), basically 'move and shoot' type of thing. You should get Ni No Kuni; it's an awesome game.
Level 5 really out did themselves on this one. First White Knight Chronicles and now this? Epic!
I been thinking about picking up Ni No Kuni as I love japanese RPG's in general , but people are mentioning it has similarities with Pokémon? o.o
WoW, now i really feel like i'm missing out, I love Pokémon, especially the Game Boy handheld version of Blue & Yellow, i love raising Pokémon, exploring around and of course; all the trainer battles, especially battling Gym leaders
