"Eventually it will become very apparent that there is a plan for the way the canon ties together and the way the comic books and the novels all tie together." Halo: Helljumper and
Blood Line comic series, "Halo Legends" anime, and the new
Halo Evolutions novel. O'Connor also claims they're being "careful to pick the right time and the right partner" for a potential Halo movie. And somewhere in this timeline, O'Connor hints that we'll see what happened to Master Chief after the events of Halo 3. "I think that (his) fate, Cortana's fate and the identity of that giant, dark planet at the ending are probably big mysteries that would be irritating if they were just cliffhangers," he said. It sounds like Microsoft has a plan in place to keep a slow drip of Halo for a long time to come.
