Epic Games has teamed up with Electronic Arts to publish a new, unannounced game as part of the EA Partners program. EA announced the deal at its Studio Showcase event today at the company's Redwood Shores headquarters.

The action game is being developed by Warsaw-based People Can Fly, which Epic acquired last year after the company worked on PC levels for Gears of War. Previously, People Can Fly developed the game Painkiller for Xbox and PC.

"Epic is excited to work with EA Partners to launch our next big IP on the global stage," said Mark Rein, vice president, Epic Games. "EA Partners gives independent developers like Epic the muscle of a global publisher like EA, along with the focus and flexibility of a smaller team committed to working with our individual needs."

The title doesn't have a name just yet, but we do know it's a new intellectual property. Considering People Can Fly's background, we're guessing it involves shooting.
