there definately will be, updates will flow up until the death of ps3 in around 4-6 more years time.

When there is a new update it will most likely be stability improvements, and maybe some minor new features.

i dont thing ps3 going down because ps4 and ps3 going to connect to the same server and ps3 and ps4 will be together ps4 u have to pay but ps3 u dont so ps3 and ps4 will be connect. I thing ps3 will be good and alive at that time
