i have a CECHE01 model which is the 80gb ps3 with backwards compatibility and 4 usb slots.

my plan is to tell gamestop im upgrading to a slim cause i like them better. give them a broken system that they think is working and use that cash to help pay for the slim.

my last question concerns trading broken systems into game stop

does game stop check to see if systems are working?

how much money do i get from trade ins for a working ps3?

how much for broke one?

there is no local gamestop in my area so dont blame me

They do not check the day you do the trade. They assume its in working condition. But when you trade they ask for your address and phone # so they can call you after. Dont do it
