I tried resetting it, recovery menu absolutely EVERYTHING but there is always a black screens hen using HDMI. I tried the AV cables and it worked perfectly. I also tried it with another TV and it still has a black screen. Whenever I turn it on the TV recognises it but its a black screen and at the corner it says "DVI 480p" not sure what that means. But anyway, I have a another PS3 on OFW. I called up a repair shop and he said that the HDMI chip might be broken and it will take $130 to fix it. Now, I am going to purchase the PS4 so should I repair my CFW or not? Has anyone had this issue before? Is there any fix that could possibly rectify this issue?
Thanks!
I've had the blackscreen problem with HDMI i know what ur talking about. What i did was i got a new hdmi cable and that was the problem. If it's not the cable after using a different one use an av cable and then hdmi while reseting ur PS3's video settings as mentioned above.
