(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have a PS3 Slim that is on CFW 4.50 Rogero. The PS3 is not banned. I had the PS3 for about a year and enjoyed it. Yesterday, it developed a problem where there would be a plain black screen when starting it up. I tried resetting it, recovery menu absolutely EVERYTHING but there is always a black screens hen using HDMI. I tried the AV cables and it worked perfectly. I also tried it with another TV and it still has a black screen. Whenever I turn it on the TV recognises it but its a black screen and at the corner it says "DVI 480p" not sure what that means. But anyway, I have a another PS3 on OFW. I called up a repair shop and he said that the HDMI chip might be broken and it will take $130 to fix it. Now, I am going to purchase the PS4 so should I repair my CFW or not? Has anyone had this issue before? Is there any fix that could possibly rectify this issue?

Thanks!

I've had the blackscreen problem with HDMI i know what ur talking about. What i did was i got a new hdmi cable and that was the problem. If it's not the cable after using a different one use an av cable and then hdmi while reseting ur PS3's video settings as mentioned above.

Hmm..try using the av cable and then go to the settings of your ps3's hdmi then configure it after that see what happens? idk. Also makes sure ur tv channel matches with the ports ur using. If it still doesnt work, then its ur PS3's HDMI port im guessing or it just wont signal ur HDMI cable because maybe ur PS3 just broke.
