Post: Back in the gaming world.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I have been without games for about two years now after I sold my PS3. Well I'm back, and am ready to learn all about the new shit. Basically now I'm just wondering if it's worth buying a new PS3 now. Is the modding community still strong? I already have a guy willing to sell me a 3.55 OFW, which I will JB, but just from reading the titles of threads it does not seem as easy anymore as sticking a USB and pressing a few buttons. Before I went out of the scene I was using a E3 Flasher for everything, but will I still need one of them since I will be sticking with 3.55?
I'm going to look and post around here for the rest of the week and see if it's worth it. I mostly just want to get back online and play with all my old friends who still text me asking if I will ever come back.
Glad to be back in the scene and exited to get looking around for the latest stuff!

If it's on OFW 3.55, you can update it to Rebug or Rogero 4.46.1 and spoof to 4.55. It's not as hard as people make it out to be, that's coming from someone that only started it a few months ago. The biggest problem you'll have is getting banned if you decide to mod games online like Ghosts or GTA V.

The modding community is dying, but it's not dead yet. If you're not going to buy a PlayStation 4 any time soon, I suggest buying a 3.55 console. You will be able to play any new PS3 games for free anyway. :p

Well I just bought a 3.55 PS3 and it should be here some time next week! Can't wait to decide what to do. Don't have any of my old games so will most likely have to download them all again for free.
