Beware of those warning messages though. I started to get that problem about a 6 months ago and thought it was nothing until it started freezing my cod 4 games and cutting sound out and shit. I finally called Sony and they had me reset my ps3 to its original settings (this is a 3-4 hour process) and I've had no problems since. If it gets worse then it is now then i suggest doing what I did and Sony can walk you through it. Btw when you do this (if you have too) save all your game save data to a USB or something.

i sometimes turn it off from the bak but now i wont be. plaus i got a slim now so cant do that

If I were you I would never turn it off from the back again unless you put the PS3 in standby first. TRUST ME, turning it off from the back makes your PS3 be easier to get the disk reading error!
