(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Lets say I put a fan behind my PS3. Facing my PS3 basically blowing air into the back of it, is that good to keep it from overheating or bad cause it blows the dust?

Error… Cat invasion!
Do you have the original ps3 or the slim?

Because I know they have Intercooler fans for the original ps3, but I don't think they have one for the slim...

At least I can fight
you should be fine but it really doesn't need the extra fans. The built in fan system is good enough. If you are worried about the dust then about once every couple of weeks, take a vacuum cleaner hose and suck out the dust and there wont be a problem. plus its good to keep it clean. the dust would only affect the reading of the disc not any of the other stuff that is inside

Stop flamming guys.
Putting a fan near the ps3 is a good idea in a sense, it keeps it cool, and as vicious stated, use a vaccum for the dust.
Goodluck man Smile.

IMO wouldnt that just blow the hot hair back into the ps3 along with dust id say get one of the attachable fans or just use the fans that came with the ps3, i cant say for sure if using an external fan like that would help but i wouldnt suggest using one IMO, ive had my ps3 since uk launch like 3 years or something and ive never had any problems with it and i just use the fans that came with it (no add ons).

You talkin to me?
DO NOT DO THIS it will break your system. the fan will blow the hot air straight back into the system and wont be able to escape. youll be lucky if you dont melt it
