(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok my buddy namvet36 (eu) just messaged me.

He had disk reading problems and sent his ps3 in to sony, It has returned and is still having this exact same problem.

I have looked everywhere online and have found posts of people having this problem after a firmware update. His started when he bought mw2.

Has anyone else in eu or anywhere experienced this problem or have any idea on how to fix it.

1 method was tried already, starting a harddrive game and loading disk from in game. supposedly the disk was suppose to show up on xmb if you started the harddrive game. it didn't .

Any help is appreciated and serious answers get rep.

thanks

Same exact thing happened to me. Returning my ps3 still broke and everything. I had to resend it back and they finally sent me a fixed one. Had to go almost 2 months without ps3 because of it

Million Miles Of Fun!
I am not sure what you mean but please tell him to NOT turn off his PS3 by using the power switch in the back, this will damage the system itself and the HDD(Sony warns you) so I used to do that and Ive messed up my HDD a few times and had to re-configure it which isn't fun(like a 6 hour task) Ive been lucky and always able to fix it by myself but I learned my lesson make sure you turn off your system by using either the controller or the front button on the PS3.
