now i am a little confused. what you are saying is that the gold DE is only stored on the gamesave, so if i tried hex editing it into the MPDATA, bypass, do the hack, then try playing with it, then it wont come up because its not an actual weapon stored on the IW servers?

Yes Sir. and Only people who did the same bypass as you would be able to see that u have a gold DE Since its on there Gamesave to
