So, I guess we can all agree that Playstation Home was a really interesting project created by Sony, it had a unique way of gamers meeting people and the closest thing to the Playstation 3 getting avatars as possible. Welp, all good things (if you call it good) must come to an end.

Do you have fond memories of PlayStation Home, or are you glad to see it go?

It was a wonderful way to meet gamers from all around the world, and be able to socialize with them on a regular basis. But between the trolls who simply liked being mean and stupid, and the wannabe script kiddies who would freeze spaces just because they could, and the thug wannabe's who thought it the best way to show their total lack of brains or personality, it became a toxic cesspool of ick.

By the time it shut down, it was long past due.

SONY will not be bringing a virtual "Home" type world to the PS4. All virtual worlds (Atom Universe, Home Tycoon, Nebula, etc. etc.) are 3rd Party Developers. This article: You must login or register to view this content. was very informative about the missed glory of Home.

I miss Home for the easy access socializing with fellow gamers, mixed with the "shoe whore" consumerism Sony offered. I spend hundreds of dollars on virtual clothing and animation LMOs...Don't regret a penny of it, because the entertainment was worth it. But I will never invest like that again. While an important part of my gaming history, "been there, done that."
It was a magical moment in game console development, and I'm glad I got to experience it.

'Twas poetry betwixt my eyes and moniter, was it not? Agreed it was full of assholes, trolls, and the occasionally fap happy geek; it was still fun to just socialise with the randoms and look at the masterpiece that Clark and others beautifully crafted. I hope to see something like this in the future, but hopefully it won't be mashing merchandise down your throat like appleĀ®
