Well i really dont know mate. Why dont you try deleting it from your devices and setting it up again via Accessory setting. Also try going in a chatroom with a friend who also has a mic and ask them if they can hear you ect to see if it is working or not.

try going to the sound setting and change the output? idk whats wrong

I would take it off then put it back on and make sure its turned on for the system not just that its there
