If you have could you please name the kind of connection you have and some inormtion about it, as i am desperate for a new one because mine really sucks.

You Ethernet or Wireless?

I have a good connection. You can test your download speed on your PS3 in the connectino status or going to the web browser ad running a speed test. An easy website to run a speed test at (without a bunch of crap in the site) is:

I have comcast cable internet. d/l speed about 20 MPS and u/l 2.5 MPS. I have my PS3 hardwired to the router. I have my PS3 setup on a static IP address that I assigned so it doesn't conflict with any other device in the house. I also have the PS3's IP address set in the DMZ and have all the ports forwarded. Lastly I did not enable uPNP on the PS3 and the router. this seems to work best with my connection. Others have uPNP enabled so play around with that.

I have wireless connection, using Verizon FIOS and the router they provided. I consitently have four full green bars. Might depend on the distance you are from the router? Also if most of you do not know this, microwave ovens will interrupt and often block your wireless signal. So if the kitchen is between your room and the router, its no bueno!

battman, I totally wantthe VZW FIOS. through you rrouter, what type of d/l and u/l speeds are you getting? FIOS is not in my area.

Wireless and my connection is fine if wired but my mother doesn't like having it downstairs as the gaming sounds annoy her haha and my ps3 is exactly above the router but on the 2nd floor

Get comcast, its pretty good.

But you need a Enhanced wireless Usb Network Adapter so you get better signal when your not close to the router

I'm jealous.

I have comcast and get about 18 down and 2.2 up.
