If your account has been hacked, then it's probably because you gave away your email and password (I did that because some guy told me he would give me W@W mods if I give my login credentials). There are two ways to recover your account. These two methods were told to me by a Sony employee I called to get my account back. Also, they're going to ask if you gave away your password. Just say no.

First step to methods 1 and 2, call Sony, tell them your username, then give your serial number found at the back of your console (looks like a bar code)

Method 1: Give in your old login credentials + date of birth + PSN username
If you do remember your date of birth and your old login credentials, give that information to the Sony employee who is talking over the phone. If there is a match, they will recover your account.

Method 2: Telling them all of the DLC you have purchased/installed.
This one is for those who forgot everything about their account. Method 1 doesn't work? Try this method. Tell them all of the things you purchased/downloaded. The easiest way to do that is by checking your email inbox. Each time you purchase/download something from the Playstation Store or an in-game store, you will receive a notification message from Sony saying that you have purchased/downloaded something. Now just gather all of those purchase/download notifications from your email and tell that to Sony. Easiest way to tell them all of the things you have purchased/downloaded. If the download history you have given to the person over the phone matches the download history in your account, they will recover your account.

What's next?
After they recover your account, attempt to sign into PSN. You will receive a different screen than usual, kind of looking like the screen when you sign up for PSN. It's going to ask you to change parts of your login credentials like your password. After you have completed that, you are now free to sign into PSN! When the so-called "modder" who got into my account and saw me go back online, he was so surprised. I got someone to derank him later on W@W.

Methods submitted by others [NEW!]

Cgjohnst's method (must have either the OG email, the first 4 digits and last 4 digits of the credit card on the account or the serial):
Ask Sony to look through your gaming history if you think they bought a game with your money when the hacker changed your login credentials. Explain to them that you never changed your login credentials and that you never even planned on buying that game the hackers bought. Official quote: "My PSN account has been hacked three times since the big personal info leak a few years back. The first time was from an IP in Africa. The second and third times were from IPs in Europe. Go figure all 3 times it was people using my account to buy a FIFA game and hundreds of dollars worth of in-game currency. All I did was call Sony, explain to them that I don't even like soccer and to look through my entire gaming history to never see a single soccer game, and they laughed and fixed it immediately. It was a very painless process."

That's gonna be rare if someone hacks your account though, but I guess I'll add it. Thanks for the info!

Pretty nice thread man! I have personally had my PSN's hacked like my PSN Angry. You forgot to mention something, Sony asks you for the serial number on the back of the Playstation. That is crucial in getting your account back as well as the original email used to create the account. I dont think Cgjohnst's method will work cause Sony's security has gotten much more strict due to everyone taking accounts. They require for you to have either the OG email, the first 4 digits and last 4 digits of the credit card on the account or the serial. If you don't have any of those they definitely won't give you your account back.

The only information I had to give them was my birth date and last 4 of my credit card number on the account. It was always a very painless process for me. Man I was angry when I woke up to a spam of e-mails about all the PSN purchases of something FIFA on my account lol >.>
