Post: Need some assistance with dazzle

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I run an hdmi cable from my ps3 to my hdtv and I have been trying for some time trying to get my dazzle working by using the colored cables running to it (keep in mind that while running those cables white, yellow, red to my dazzle I have my hdmi cables running to my hdtv) but nothing shows up. Even when I try running with only the colored cables (not using the hdmi) on my tv to see if they work at all and nothing comes up I bought brand new ones and yet I still have no solution.

I have almost exactly the same problem. My Dazzle card was working lovely when the PS3 was connected to the TV via Ext 1 with a scart lead and the TV was connected to the Dazzle with a 3 core from the Ext on the side of the telly.

Now we have a new HD telly and the PS3 is connected to it with the HDMI lead. The new resolution is brillient for playing PS3 games and we're really pleased with it.

What we can't do now though is get a signal to the Dazzle. Is there a way of setting the TV up so that it can output from a scart when the input is through the HDMI?

TIA

Graeme

I had the same problem but I quickly found out that you cannot play and record in HD usong a dazzle. Check out my thread and when somebody gives me a definite answer you will know the best route to go by so check it out You must login or register to view this content.

I had this problem a long time ago. You can not use HDMI in on your tv and record on dazzle. You have to use the scart connection and rca splitters..one end to the tv..the other end to your dazzle. The only thin you can do is use the scart or get an HD recorder..or if you have a DVD recorder you can use an out from the TV to it and record to disk.

Thanks for that. I've connected both the leads from the PS3 to the TV. For playing we use the HDMI and for recording we switch back to Scart.
