But we can both be online a the same time we are both on wireless but when he invites me to a party or i invite him we cannot join on mw2 havnt tried other games but does anyone else have this problem how can i fix it?

Wow i have Linksys and me and my friends played 3 ps3s on 1 router?

I have 2 playstations, 1 wireless router and no issues at all, i usually kick my sons ass:p

Also alptop running of it when were on the PS3

Me and my brother have a ps3 each and we're on the same router, there is nothing wrong with the mw2 invites for me and him, it's acctually much faster joining then joining other peoples connections.

No its not IP issue, i'm guessing its an issue with your NAT type i'm guessing you have 3 mybe? this will most likely cause connection issues you'll will need to find a new host that both of you gusy can join in with

try to join his lobby without an invitation, just go to his options in the f/l, like when he gets into a ranked lobby

go on your pc, cmd n type ipconfig, get your ip address and go to your browser, type in your ip and log into you router, [username and password should be on sticker of router], check all the settings are ok on it, try upgrading to the latest firmware.
