^But we can both be online a the same time we are both on wireless but when he invites me to a party or i invite him we cannot join on mw2 havnt tried other games but does anyone else have this problem how can i fix it?

i dont know, my m8 and his brother both have xbox's and are both in the same party and game all the time with me. So i dont see why it shouldnt work. Hopefully someone can help out. I would but im xbox, and all i know is that it works for me and my m8..

see if he invite you see if u you can join if not the best thing is to get a ethernet wire i got 3 ps3 connect to my router all wired me and my girl play mw2 and she can join my room

I have a ethernet cable so if i put the eternet cable in and he went on wireless it would work?

I have 3 ps3's connected through my one router, and at first i had this problem and then i figured out what was causing it and fixed it. what my problem was is that i had a firewall up while at the same time one of my ps3s was in DMZ mode, causing them to be on opposite sides of the firewall and unable to connect. this may not be your problem but it is one possible cause.
