Post: HDMI OR Component Cables?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I Got A HCT 37' LCD TV With A 250GB PS3 Slim.it Can Run Up To 1080p Resolution.So I Need Help.

I Got A Problem On Using Either An HDMI Or Component Cables.They Both Can Make My TV Run In 1080p Resolution,But Heres The Problem With My HDMI Cable.It Makes My PS3 Hotter Than Usually.With My Component Cables I Get Just A Little Bit Less Quality Than An HDMI,But Makes My PS3 Less Hot And Makes It Have A Less Chance Of Getting The YLOD.

My Question Is Which Is Better An HDMI Or Component Cables?
Both Can Run 1080p Resolutions,But They Got Both They're Pros And Cons.
All I Want IS Your Opinion Please.

P.S. Well If You Guys Think I Should Use Component Cables Instead Of An HDMI,Then Probably I'll Just Use MY HDMI For My Laptop,Which Is Connected To My TV:rolleyes:

Just get components for now and if you find a good sale on an HDMI later on get that too and use it every now and again for good quality.

Go to BestBuy buy a RocketFish HDMI cable, thats what i have. I have both component and HDMI cables though so i can use either. HDMI is more clear and sharp, component looks a little more dark and blurry but not by too much. Both support 1080p as you said but HDMI really is better. I have had my ps3 since they came out pretty much, used the HDMI since i got the thing never have noticed it getting hot or anything. Keep it in a some what open space and it wont get hot. Never have had any problems with my ps3, hell i still have my Ps2 which works fine. I love sony. Smile Keep in open space off the floor though, dont think the HDMI cables will make a difference if it gets hot or not.

HDMI is only one cable and I think it has better quality.

go on amazon.com, spend $4 and get an HDMI cable that will function just as well as any $100 monster cable. i have all 3 of my systems hooked up through HDMI (including a slim) and there have been no problems at all. DO NOT buy at a retail store, however, as it is a complete ripoff.
