Restoring is formatting everything i advise you not to do it

an easier way is put all music and pictures on to a usb and then get them through your comp and normally that would work as it saves time by not having to get te songs back

Last resort is normally to format it but delete everything before you format it and hopefully know your PSN password off by heart if you normally do the "sign in automaticially"

Meaning, it is deleting everything off of your PS3. I don't think there is a way without deleting everything.

i had a promble with mine awhile back tried everything an reformating did nothing either, i had to buy a new ps3 in the end an lost alot of my games due to them being locked saved games
