First off only follow these steps if you truly do need your name changed (name has address,name, etc. in it) don't call them and try to tell them your PSN has your first and last name in it when your PSN is SomethinghereModzz, it's not going to work. This is meant for those of you whose name actually does contain some personal information, and to be honest even if it does you are better off just making a new account (you will understand when you look at cons of doing this) but none the less still though I should let you guys know what to say to get it done because I have had a previous account that had some personal info and would have loved to know what to say to get them to change it.

Lose everyone off your friends list
Is your account "eligible" to get its name changed?
If not no, and don't even bother trying if you have a name that contains "Mods" or some stupid ish.
*Also no you cannot get an OG name by doing this, even if there is a name that has been registered but never used on a console it is still considered taken*

It makes PS4 very buggy for a while, got name changed about 20 minutes ago and still cannot play online.
Here is a picture where you can see 30 or so minutes ago my PSN ID was EdwardScotts and now it is cali619-- (however my name above still has not updated)
In conclusion I do not think it is at all worth it to change names since the only thing you keep is purchases. If you hate your name that much make a new account, but keep your old one activated on your PS3/PS4 so you can still play the games you have purchased. However if you really don't care and are dying for a new name as long as your name contains your first name, or anything along those lines it technically compromises your personal information and Sony will change it.

Nice straightforward tutorial Remy for those that want to go through this but as you said you're better off making a whole new PSN lol
