The lovely folks over at GameCinemaHD have just posted a video of the first major boss battle from the next installment of Konami's long-running horror series, Silent Hill: Homecoming. Those of you who would rather be surprised are advised to ignore this post altogether. Those of you too curious to stop yourselves should be warned that the clip contains language not suitable for most work environments. Knowing that some of our readers are of the more weak-willed variety, we've gone ahead and posted the video after the jump, so the choice is yours.

Silent Hill: Homecoming (Also know as Silent Hill 5 or Silent Hill V) is the 6th installment of the famous horror series, Silent Hill. Silent Hill: Homecoming follows the story of a soldier returning home from war, Alex Shepherd.

Alex's world has changed somewhat since the last time he saw his family. His brother and father have gone missing, and his mother is in a You must login or register to view this content. state. After some strange goings on and a weird dream in his hometown and of Shepherds Glenn, he sets out to find his brother who he claims responsbility for. Along the way he meets up with old friends such as Elle while he is looking through Shepherds Glenn for an answer. They eventually follow Alex to the eerie town of Silent Hill...

Among others, Akira Yamaoka has said that the story and "theme" of Silent Hill V will be similar to Silent Hill 2. Fans of the series have been quick to notice that Alex's surname, Shepherd, is the same as James Sunderland's wife in Silent hill 2, Mary Shepherd-Sunderland. Perhaps the relation to Silent Hill 2 was more literal than we thought? Or maybe its one of those "connections" between Silent Hills which the fans love. Recent media from the E3 Business and Media event in held in LA during July of 2008 revealed another "friend" from Silent Hill 2 will indeed be returning in Silent Hill: Homecoming.
