your crazy thinking a jailbreak would become useless! if they shutdown the servers a cfw ps3 will be the only way to install pkgs/addons for games

Also if I'm correct cfw users could connect to a home made server so to speak fir like playing each other in cod.
Also wonder how Netflix will work ect without a psn server to sign in to as Netflix requires psn sign in to work this is and interesting thread tbh to see what people think or know will happen when PS3 servers do go down

If they stopped supporting the servers, they'd loose a lot of money because I know loads of people who still play, and that would be money lost for them.

The only time I've heard of people using own servers if on Metal Gear games. Even then, I don't know how they pulled it off.

But if the PS3 servers were shut down, my OFW would be dead to me
