PS3 Starts Up, Fans Kick In, Then It Shuts Down

Once upon a time...

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Help Please I have a 40gb ps3... when i turn the ps3 on, its okay for about 5mins, then the fans kick in really loud, and the ps3 bleeps then shuts down, just as it shuts down, a message comes up saying "system too hot" or something along the lines.

any help would be appreciated. thanks Happy

P.s the ps3 is in a well ventilated space

sounds like your ps3 has cooling problems,,maybe buy that extra fan for it

yer i would go for what monkey said... also if it wasnt doing these it is good to get a cooling fan for it as most of the time the PS3 gets to hot leading to YLOD
