(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I was wondering do I have to pay, my warranty is out of date theres no info on the website about it.. Im going to ring sony but if you guys could answer me before I ring them it would help to have some information. And also MW2 is inside, do I still get my game back?

the only way you are going to get your game back is if you fix the ps3. I had this issue when my ps3 overheated last year and got the YLOD, My game is still stuck inside the broken ps3 and i have not been able to get it back. If your warranty is up sony wont be able to help you, But you should have someone or even a store/ business that should be able to fix this, because it is fixable. But a warranty that is up sony cannot do anything.. unless maybe you could send it in, but because of no Warranty it would probably cost you a nice chunk

Mines is currently being fixed for the second time in 2 months. :\ I rang sony up and they said I had to pay £131 for a new 60gb ps3 and give them my old one.

I think my ps3 is close to YLoD because it keeps freezing on different games then i hold down the standby button to turn it off and that just makes it go to a black screen and the ps3 is still running, this then means i have to switch it off from behind and that does even more damage. After that happened it would not read disks for about and hour so i assume it's somthing to do with overheating but it still works fine aslong as it's not reading a disk. Im just going to get a ps3 slim this week anyway i can't really be bothered to pay someone to fix it or send it to sony.

well i not long ago got YLOD first i searched the net for prices to get fixed at sony it was about $250 in australia... but keep in mind if u send it to sony you will loose all ur saves and when u get it back you will get a 6 month warranty... so what ive done ive bought brand new slim as they have redisigned them and kept the old one which im goin to send it to get fixed from a 3rd party company

hope i helped

My ps3 keeps freezing randomly on loads of games and the fan gets really loud does that mean my ps3 is close to overheating
