I've noticed something that surprised me a bit when I saw this. I have a PS3 Slim and a Super Slim Version. This is something I noticed after some time of usage. Here is my System Stats:

PS3 Slim: REBUG 4.80 D-REX, 320 GBs. Fairly used. (Bought used)
PS3 Super Slim: OFW (Latest Version) 500 GBs. Fairly used. (Bought New)

I have some fairly scratched discs that is considered useable. When I had the PS3 Super Slim I used to insert the discs, They work and do its thing. But it neither freezes or Freezes the whole system. I have a Black Ops II Disc. Whenever I inserted the disc and started the map "Standoff" My whole system freezes. I had "Twisted Metal" and "Little Big Planet 2" and "Grand theft auto V"

Grand Theft Auto V: Infinite load screens, Failing to load some textures.

So when I've got my PS3 Slim. I gave the games a shot.

Black Ops II Standoff: Worked Perfectly
Twisted Metal: Never Freezes
Little Big Planet 2: Never Freezes
Grand Theft Auto V which became heavily scratched: No infinite loading screens, Freezes at high speed driving.

As you can see the results are really better in the Slim's side. You may say "Your Super Slim Lens are damaged" No. I didn't touch it once.

Also to add that my Super Slim's door is getting stuck over time by pressing the eject button which leads me to open the door manually. Sometimes my disc doesn't spin until I keep securing the door or restarting the whole system.

Also: My Super Slim didn't overheat once. But the Slim's temperature is higher and overheated for me once.
You can see. There is a bit difference there.

My brother's old PS3 Super Slim froze on the zombie map Town on BO2. We sold it later on so I don't have it anymore. I'm just guessing it was the PS3 itself, because I gave him my BO2 (the one I use right now and still works) and it still froze. I told him to re-install the game data (including dlc) and it still froze
