Post: [Question] How to get Game Saves off a YLOD 40Gb PS3?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Is there anyway to get my game saves off my old 40gb PS3 onto a compiuter or into my new Slim PS3 ive already tried taking out the HDD from the 40Gb and putting it into the casing and putting it in the new Slim PS3

any help would be excellent i will Rep+ and thank 20 times

try saving all your game saves to a USB then just copying them over

mm... i would if my ps3 would stay turned on for 5mins at least coz its got YLOD so i cant actually get into all my old saves, but thanx for the input

You cant, their forever gone , esp if u use Sony to repair yours.

However, if you try to repair it yourself or send to one of the ebay repairmen you have a shot at saving yoru game saves.

I used a very reputable dude off ebay, if he cant fix it, he will return/refund same day but he will keep shipping cost.

Mine was unrepairable but it was wortht he peace of mind to try for less than $15 it cost me. He charges around $100 though if he is able to repair it. Still a tad cheaper than Sony and I had it back in the same week.
