Savewizard has now added the ability to edit runes without the need for this too!
Despite the fact that they offer 9999 i still highly suggest you stick to 1000 - as i believe you will still encounter bugs if you go beyond that!
I will keep this tutorial and link to the tool here as it is still functional and gives you the option to set runes other than the predefined numbers save wizard give, also more advanced users are able to only mod one rune and or slot
Hi guys, One of the guys in the community has made a quick code generator for God of War!
-previously i seemed to be the only one on NGU modding peoples saves, but unfortunately the code had to be kept private.
This is for everyone!

INSTRUCTIONS
1) Open up SW -> GoW -> Advanced Mode -> Export "memory.dat"

3) Fill in stats you want, select memory.dat that you exported in Save Wizard
STATS set over 999 will work but will eventually cause gamebreaking bugs!
Also anything over 300 is pointless!!! the game caps at 300, setting to 999999 wont make you stronger than setting to 300!
if you set Cooldown over 250 Atreus cooldown will get longer! and yours WONT get lower!

4) It'll generate codes to edit stats on RUNES for ARMOR

5) in Save Wizard -> GoW -> Right Click "sce_sdmemory" -> Quick Mode -> Add Cheats.

6) Paste the code from the web editor YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE MULTIPLE CHEATS! for each stat

7)APPLY THE CHEATS

This generates codes for ARMOR runes that must be equipped into the SOCKETS on your armor.
This means you must have progressed far enough in game to have obtained them! not immediately at the start! you must have left "the witches house" in order to have some runes however you likely wont have runes for all stats until you finish Alheim!

if there are any real bugs (i.e you checked all manual slots, and you equipped runes..) and you're still having issues..
send me a pm, and link me your save + what "slot" you're looking for.. i'll take a quick look.
there is been 0 times i've looked and the issue is with the script, it's been generally user error or wrong save slot selected.. (as gow does weird sorting method)
i only made this tool, cuz there was private talk about codes, and it bothers me when ppl talk about private stuff, as .. if its private don't bring it up!
all info was gathered on discord, and figured some things out on my own as i've been away, different method, but same result! made it a bit easier for people who don't know how to rummage through the giant file, and create search quick codes.

Hi, can you tell me the position to edit Frozen Flames and Chaos Flame? I need it to set them to 0, in order to complete the quest about maxing the weapons.
I used Save Wizard more times during my walktrought and selected all the items to the max, now the quests are glitched because I can't sell the items to Sindri or Brook in order to buy the last Frozen Flames and Chaos Flame because, well, I already have maxed Frozen Flames and Chaos Flame...

Thanks for the tool. I managed to get it to work on my save but I noticed that it applies randomly to different enchancements. Is there a way to define which ones it affects?

first things first, remember the codes only work on your save, as soon as you save in game (or auto save) you would need to make new codes as the values all move around!
so BACK UP your save. check your cheats work, and you know what slot your using.
and now EXPERIMENT
Each line of a cheat is one enhancement rune, but there's no easy way for you to clearly know which one each is, so your only option is to apply one code, see if its the one you wanted, restore backup, apply next one, check, restore and repeat,
you could do 3 or 5 at a time...to narrow it down/speed things up. how much effort this will take really just depends on how many runes you have.

i did everything the exact same like in the OP.
but when i copy and paste i get an error ->
Only 128 Codes are allowed per Cheat
And when i want to save it it says
Please make sure the code you entered is valid
but when i copy and paste i get an error ->

as stated in my original post, you will need to make multiple cheats, after 128 lines it needs to be split into another cheat. ie. defense 1 defense 2 - and you will need to apply all of the cheats you make
save wizard will always give you the please make sure the code is valid message as this is an advanced method of using the program and can easily corrupt your save if you do something wrong.
always make backups.
