Post: Save Wizard, .rar files.

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello everyone. I have difficulty using RAR files on Save Wizard. I know the program does not support this type of file. I don't know how to correctly convert the RAR file to ZIP to be able to use it in Save Wizard. I tried to extract the files and convert them to ZIP using software found on the internet. What software can I use to convert the RAR file to ZIP? Thank you all.

You can easily use the zip function on Win OS....
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14200/windows-compress-uncompress-zip-files

Or if you have software (WinRar), Right-click > Add to archive > Select the zip option

Moved to modding section since the section you posted in is reserved for saves. But basically, first, you extract the RAR, same as you would a ZIP. The programs that let you do this are free, but I'd recommend using WinRAR since I've heard reports of saves not resigning correctly after using some of the others. I think 7Zip is also okay but I'm not positive. WinRAR will keep telling you, after a while, that your free trial has expired but all you have to do is wait a few seconds, close that box, and use the program as normal.

After the RAR is extracted - and again it's pretty similar to a ZIP in how you do that - find the CUSA folder you want to resign. Make sure it's just a CUSA folder with save files inside. A lot of downloads around here have multiple folders inside, especially if they are save sets with multiple saves inside. You can find 30 or more different saves in different CUSA folders inside of 1 RAR. So make sure you look inside what you're downloading and extracting, whether it's a ZIP or RAR. I just saw one that was a RAR inside of a RAR.

Once you find a CUSA folder for a save you want to use, take that CUSA folder and turn it into a ZIP. If you have Windows 7 or later, the easiest way to do this is right-click that folder, then in the context menu that appears, go to "send to..." and then "compressed (zipped) folder." It's built right into Windows. If you don't see it, I believe WinRAR also lets you do it, and so do a number of other programs.

After you've created your ZIP, go into Save Wizard. Click the "resign" tab. Click the "import" button. Then just find the ZIP you created.
