I used the weapons in chest on a save where the item boxes are not linked. There was nothing in the first item box I made it to, so I assume the code doesn't work in that mode? The 255 defense knives did work, but the ammo, and weapons in chest didn't. Maybe I did something wrong, not sure.
Edit: Everything was in the second chest I made it to.

Once the chest codes worked, I was able to use inf rocket, so I didn't bother with any other weapons honestly. Either way, your codes I need to work did work, so thanks for that!
