Except that in the 1.08 May update, Team Ninja disabled the prestige stats that players were using to cheat in multiplayer (Human Close Combat Damage, Living Weapon Durability, Toughness, etc), and in the 1.16 August update, players now have to use pre-set equipment sets if they want to play PVP. There's no way for players to cheat anymore.
Luck is also a prestige stat, but it only affects offline single-player by improving drop rates. It's completely harmless.
