I'm keen to venture into the realms of* re-signing other peoples saves but I'm concerned there may be some unknown account security risks or at least of suffering the wrath of Sony in the form of an account ban, worst case!

Am I being overly pessimistic and worrying over nothing or at these risks I should at least be weighing up?

They normally wont ban you over something like this i mean in the end you did nothing wrong you only did place your backup of your save online in case maybe your ps4 breaks ?

Getting banned from specific game servers isn't such a concern for me as even with Souls games I tend to be offline most of the time. My big concern was upsetting the big guns, getting an account suspended and losing all your purchases etc., but as you say, what are you going wrong?, what specific t&c clause are you flaunting? On reflection I'm sure there would be anecdotal evidence by now if people had had any problems.

Sony won't ban for in-game mods they let the devs of the game handle that, unlike Xbox. You can only get banned for breaking PlayStation code of conduct such as: sending nudes, harassment, console modifications (which can make your console break itself).
