OK, Firstly I would like to say that I have no experience in coding, this is just and idea I have and I'm not sure if its possible but I think it's worth sharing.
So my idea is that you can change a particular colour or model/texture (really anything you want to see easier) to another colour so it is very easily noticeable, for example there was a mod on Cod black ops 2 where all players in the game showed up a bright red so you could see them quicker and overall have an advantage.
So the way I think that mod worked was to find all the player models on the map and change the default colour of them to solid red but as we all know that requires modding that game and on ps4 you can't do that yet. My approach is to instead of modding the game just change what colours are represented as what so you would set something up on you're monitor to say "hey all reds that can be displayed I want you to be displayed as blue instead".
Now the problem with that is if you were to try something like that with a player model it wouldn't work since it has different colours in it, So I thought what if it was possible to instead of have the monitor change a colour to a colour have it change a character model to a colour by somehow inputting the 3D model into the monitor and saying if any part of this is shown on the screen change it to bright red (or any colour you want ). now for a game with multiple player models you would need to do this for all of them.
That is my idea, im not sure how it would be possible to do and I may have missed things but I thought I might aswell share.
That only worked in cod games because there were killstreaks that had that stuff built in
For games like GTA5 you might be able to change the player models to a wrapped skin.. but would likely not work online
Once you go online the online models would be different since each player can create their own
- Not an expert compared to most but idk if it would be worth the trouble if it were possible
