The game locks you out of your abilities if you use stage select on easy and normal. I played on easy until stage 3 (once you reach the boss you're awarded the stage 3 boss trophy and you can quit). I started again on easy and all of my abilities were gone lol. Selecting stage 2 you start off with the doge roll ability (which you get for finishing stage 1) selecting stage 3 and you start off with the sword throwing ability from stage 2, etc. If you start the game on hard all abilities are unlocked already.

since i tried Hard before reached the second boss and died for first time and i needed to start from the straight beginning again

I tried playing it on hard and there is a load of bs traps in stage 2. I think playing it on easy is the way to go as all the extra health really helps out, then just reach the first boss on hard. It wasn't too bad.

Hard is easy to beat enemies with the abilities but is hard for the traps since you have less health
