They both have same hardware and tflop power, design is different and improved thermals \ noise as far as i know. Slim also gets upgraded WiFi module to support more bands and have Bluetooth 4.0 vs 2.1 on basic PS4. Its in the same price range. There is no need to buy a PS4 atm better get PS4 Pro if your wallet can handle this. I got mine on offer at Argos and it was just a bit more expensive. All PS4 support 4K BluRay playback and HDR. Basic PS4 have 3 models and the last one 1200 iirc got rid of that crappy glossy plastic that covered HDD.

pro is a little bit expensive.
slim is best, it's more portable

After seeing a store demo of the super quiet PS4 Slim I had to have one.

My vote is for the Slim. :3
