im predicting that some companies will release games for both or just one, and im postive that the ps3 online server will still be up and running, it is bound to or Sony will loose out on a lot of money from both the psn cards and the PlayStation Store products

Some companies will be releasing both of them for example, battlefield 4, gta v, assassins creed black flag, etc. But companies starting to make their new games NOW, I believe they will be focusing on the new gen only.

I'm sure they will continue producing NBA/NHL/NFL/FIFA games as well on the PS3, they continued making them for PS2 for the longest time.

Companies will release for both and the PS3 servers will only get shut down when the PS3 goes out of production. Judging that the PS2 only went out of production this year when the PS3 has been out since 2006 means it will carry on for a while.

PS3 will have years of support yet. Makes no financial sense for them to do otherwise.

They will most likely support us for the next 2-5years...

PS2 still had games until this year.
PS2 network was still online for a couple years after, also PS2 games saw PS3 releases. I think that is your answer you should see PS3 games still along with PS4 ones but slowly it no longer supported.
Couple xbox titles which can still be played online so over a couple of years servers are turned off.

ps3 online will run aslong as sony support it, which i think will be about 5-7 years.

companies at first will release games for both consols but eventually over time when the demand for ps3 games is low enough some companies id guess the smaller ones will ditch the ps3 and only support the bigger consumer base the ps4
