(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ah, so after all the back and forth discussion over the last few weeks and months about Gran Turismo 6 being a PlayStation 3 exclusive and never appearing on the PS4, studio director and Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi has tonight put the cat among the pigeons.


“We actually do have a PlayStation 4 version in mind,” he said, speaking to You must login or register to view this content. from SilverstoneYou must login or register to view this content., “but for this holiday season, we thought it would be best for users to release on PS3 for now.”


Previously it was assumed that the game would only be for PS3, not least because it would surely bite into DriveClub’s chance of success on the platform. Now though? Well, who knows?


“I thought the best scenario would be to have the game come out, then to have new scenarios and new DLC,” said Yamauchi. “Once the players have thoroughly played out the system, if the PS4 version came out naturally, as part of that process, I think that would be the best scenario.”


Yamauchi also said that progress would “probably” copy over from PS3 to PS4.

Also has to be converted from the PS3 version which is running strange bespoke hardware compared to the PS4.
