unless the remake the whole thing into a more complex security than it is at the time
so no cfw for a long time and if there is one on the future im sure you will get banned on the first 24 hours once you have it!

i couldnt agree more with you. this was the first thing that came to mind when i read this forum post. like you said with people not being able to afford the new console. Like me if i dont manage to find a job soon haha. They will still keep making PS3 games but that might even knock PS2 off the map. Like the PS3 did to PSone.

They know most people will not 'upgrade' to the PS4 right away, so they almost need to keep supporting it if they want to continue to see a revenue stream. In saying that though, I'd give it 3-5 years before they do stop pushing for PS3 development and start expecting people to be moved over to the PS4.

I cannot see support for the PS3 being dropped for at least 2 years. Sony are far too smart to drop support for the console. Hell, I can see PlayStation Plus for the PlayStation 3 being started for a good few years. If the PS3 lasts as long as the PS2 I'll be happy. I don't intend on leaving my PS3 for awhile that's for sure...
